Check in & check out times
Accommodation on the day of arrival is only available from 2:00pm until 7:00pm unless otherwise arranged directly with The Beach House. We would appreciate as much notice of this as possible to ensure arrangements for your check in or check out are made. If you have booked through a third party, adjustments to check in and check out times cannot be guaranteed.
We ask guests to vacate their accommodation by 10:00am at the latest on day of departure, unless otherwise arranged directly. Payment for accommodation will be settled upon your arrival.
We understand that sometimes things get broken or soiled accidentally. We politely ask all guests to inform us of any damages to the room before departure. If damages to furnishings and fittings are discovered without notification, an appropriate charge will be made to your payment card. We will of course notify you of this and fully explain why the charges are being made.
Parking
We have a limited number of discounted parking spaces available to our guests. This parking is approximately 2-3 minutes walk away and is currently charged at £5.00 per day, which is payable upon departure.
CCTV is in operation within the car park, however, vehicles are left at owner’s risk.
Dog-friendly accommodation
We are delighted to welcome well-behaved, mature dogs in a couple of our rooms at a charge of £5.00 per stay. We would ask that your dog sleeps on the floor and not in the beds. If you accidentally forget your dog’s bed, we are able to provide a soft blanket for the room. For the comfort of our other guests, dogs must not be left unattended in the room whilst you are out of the building.
When you are feeding your dog in your room, please ensure your dog bowls are placed on a mat on the bathroom floor. We can provide you with a mat for your dog bowls if required.
We also offer doggy towels for your wet dogs in our entrance.
Well behaved dogs are permitted in our dining room. We do ask that you keep your dog off the furniture and refrain from feeding your dogs in our communal areas.
For information, dogs are not permitted on Weymouth Beach and Greenhill Beach from 1st May to 30th September. There is a dog area all year round at the Pavilion end of the beach and all of Preston Beach (beyond the rock groyne). There are also many other beaches nearby that are dog friendly.

We proudly sponsor and support Weymouth and Weymouth Women’s FC and are pleased to offer any supporters travelling to games a discounted rate on their room. This is subject to availability and only valid on direct bookings when Weymouth FC are playing at home. The discount will be applied for the duration of your stay.
Guests that book directly and provide proof of travel to us by public transport can also enjoy a discount off their stay.
Things to do
We love Weymouth and are sure you will too! As well as the beach, just outside our front door, you can take a 5-10 minute stroll into Weymouth town centre, which offers numerous bars and restaurants. Cross the Town Bridge and you can take in the beauty of the harbour and Nothe Fort & Gardens.
The surrounding area wont disappoint with plenty of beautiful places to visit such as:
Portland: World renowned for its sailing waters and spectacular views of Chesil Beach, Portland offers a number of beauty spots and places to visit. We recommend a trip to Portland Bill where you can relax in the clean sea air.
Abbotsbury: A beautiful thatched village that houses a Swannery, a sub-tropical gardens and St. Catherine’s chapel.
Dorchester: The county town of Dorset offers a wide range of independent businesses and a wealth of history to discover.
West Bay: Soak in the beauty of this quaint seaside town that was featured in the TV series, Broadchurch.
Durdle Door: The impressive rock arch at Durdle Door is enough to take your breath away.
Charmouth: A must for Jurassic Coast fossil hunters, with a visitor centre that can help you identify your finds.
Lyme Regis: A delightful coastal town steeped in history.
Swanage: A gorgeous location with a steam railway taking you to Corfe Castle and ferry trips available.
Our Coastal Road: Wherever you travel, you can be sure to take in breath-taking views. We recommend the B357 coast road to take sight of 18 miles of stunning coastline.
Booking Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing The Beach House for your stay in Weymouth. We look forward to welcoming to you into our Guest House and hope that your stay with us is comfortable and relaxing. By making a booking, you are entering into an agreement with us, so please make sure you have read the following terms and conditions.
Pricing: The price of the accommodation includes the following:
- Linen and Towels
- Hospitality Items
- Cleaning
- Hot water, central heating .
Breakfast (Unless your accommodation was agreed on a room only basis)
Cancellation: By making a booking with us, our agreement is a legal contract. All bookings require a deposit of the first night’s room tariff rate.
- Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to arrival. Bookings cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival will be charged one night at the room tariff rate. Non arrivals will also be charged as above.
- If you have booked through a third party accommodation booking service, you have entered into their terms of booking and cancellation and must contact them for any amendments or cancellation enquiries. Unfortunately, The Beach House cannot assist you with any cancellation issues if you have not booked with us directly.
- We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would endeavour to arrange alternative accommodation however if we were unable to do this or it was unacceptable for you then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Damages & Breakages: We ask that you take care when staying with us at The Beach House. You are responsible and liable for any damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its furnishings. Please ensure that you report any breakages or soiling to us as soon as possible. We will not charge for minor accidental damages, but you will be required to pay for any replacement or repairs that are deemed more significant. Stains that cannot be removed from linen will also be chargeable and lost keys will incur a charge of £30.
Smoking/Vaping: We are a non-smoking and non-vaping guest house. If you are found to be smoking or vaping in our rooms, you will be asked to leave immediately and a £30 charge will be made to cover cleaning costs.
Liability: We do not accept liability for any damage, loss, or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless it is proven to have been caused by a negligent act by ourselves, employees or contractors.
Pets: We are willing to accept well behaved, mature pets at the Beach House in a couple of our rooms. There is a charge of £5.00 per stay and we ask that your pet does not sleep on the beds. Pets must be fed on the bathroom floor in the room using a mat and your own bowls. Pets must not be left unattended in the rooms while you are not in the building, and only well behaved pets are welcome in the dining room. Any damages caused by your pet will incur a cost.
Privacy policy:
Any data collected during your stay with us may be stored on our computer. With your permission we may contact you at various times regarding promotions, so please advise us when booking if you do not wish us to retain this data for these purposes. We will never share your details with any third party unless legally required to do so.
